The Dog Days are Over

Before I was in real estate I was told that you could take a vacation between Thanksgiving and Valentines day.  Those are the "Dog Days".  Clients are frozen during that time and nothing ever sells anyways. What a great career!  Its like being a school teacher and having all summer off (but without having to be smart.) That was the direction I was going to go! I will be a ski bum all winter long. AND... Real Estate agents are rich!  They are all driving Cadillac's and living the dream.

The reality is the dog days are over. I have never been as busy as I am right now in Real Estate. I have had 5 days off since Thanksgiving, and of those 5 there wasn't 1 day that I wasn't on the phone or computer for at least an hour helping clients or solving problems. There is so much going on in real estate right now and our entire office is buzzing around like bees. The funny thing is if you ask some of the "Old Timer's" in the business: How's the Market? You will still get the same answer they have said for the last 40 years. Nothing sells this time of year. Things will pick up in the spring...

Your perception of reality is reality. Especially at EXIT Realty :). Things are great in Real Estate right now. It doesn't matter if you are buying or Selling....Now is an amazing time!  The DOG Days are over!

I agree, it has been very busy. And my listings are getting far more activity now then they did last summer! Crazy! P.s. I love this song.
